« We did not stay. The room was upstairs and we had to go through a really trashy yard to get to it. It was cold and the heaters didn’t work, smelt like mildew and the bathroom was a disaster! We let and found appropriate accommodations! I can’t believe they would consider renting the place! We had to travel down a one way road to get to the place and the gate was closed. « We stayed in the Lavender Cottage for two nights on a weekend away. The cottage is situated at a short distance from the Southwell Minster and village shops. Southwell itself is quite a compact and cute little village. The cottage is really well presented, clean and well equipped. The host, Rebecca, left us a hamper with bread, juice, milk etc. Everything was very clean and tidy. We had two cozy nights in there and the log fire was a great addition to the lovely relaxing feel the cottage has....

« A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. »

"Comme lors de nos précédents séjours, l’hôtel Bingham Townhouse nous a ravis: accueil chaleureux, chambre confortable (lits confortables, couettes généreuses), choix de thés/tisane & café; calme. Très bon petit déjeuner. Nous avons aussi choisi de réserver le repas du soir au restaurant de l’hôtel - parfait après une journée de route! Nous recommandons fortement!"
