Living Water Resort

"Nice place"
I enjoyed my stay here. The room I occupied was larger than I expected, which also included a stacked washer and dryer which made my stay even more convenient. If you're looking for a quiet place, this resort is a few minutes away from the village which was a positive for me. The only issue I had was housekeeping. When they did come, the service was excellent, but I had to ask for the service (including fresh towels and garbage disposal). It seems as if daily housekeeping service is not standard (I am not a timeshare participant...I paid the nightly rate to stay). Having said that, they were very accommodating to my requests, so it wasn't an issue.

"Would stay again"
The staff were excellent and moved us without any trouble when there ended up being a crying baby in the room next to ours. Very pleased with our experience and would recommend to friends and family.

Stayed at the Georgian for 2 nights. Good value for the money. Excellent continental breakfast. Good location right on route, easy to find and close to Blue Mountain, Scandinave and Collingwood.

Holiday Inn Express Blue Mountain

4 Balsam Street, Collingwood - Map
"On the main road"
The hotel is on the corner of a busy road junction which we hadn't realised. Not the most appealing location and lots of traffic noise. Rooms pretty tired, and in need of a refurb, and aircon unit very noisy too (we switched off as it was chilly when we visited anyway). Bathroom very compact and fan as noisy as a jet plane, which was very irritating! Not keen on the paper plates, cups, plastic cutlery for the express breakfast either; fine for take out but unnecessary for sit in as many did, but the food and selection available was fine. Pool was not very appealing either with no where to change, and only a cold shower. That all said, the room was adequate and comfy for the 2 nights we were there and for what we paid, and Collingwood is a lovely little town (away from the main road) to visit. Also had a look round the nearby Blue Mountain ski resort which was an interesting place.

"Perfectly fine for an overnight stay"
Booked in advance and everything was fine when I checked in. Room was comfortable, very clean and quiet. I stayed on a Wednesday night in early May which may be why it was so quiet. I was glad to have the fridge and microwave in the room so I could run to Loblaws just down the street for food while I worked in my room. I would definitely stay again when I am in the area. My only negative was that no one was at the front desk when I checked out. You need to ring for service.

"Warm, quiet and clean, close to blue mountain."
Arrived at the tail end of a freezing rain storm. Room was quiet and comfortable, put my feet up, ordered pizza, and had a drink. I was far from the white knuckled drive experience an hour prior. Very Relaxed! 10 minute drive to blue mountain the next morning.

If you’re looking for the perfect pick-me-up, a visit to a spa in Collingwood is the answer.

Your vacation is all about unwinding, so make your day as tranquil as possible. Take a walk by the marina in the misty early morning, followed by breakfast at a local café. If you’re visiting in the spring or summer, try paddleboarding in Georgian Bay, or take a long walk along St. Lawrence Street. When you’re done, it’s time for the main event: your spa adventure. Indulge in a scented wrap, or let a hot-stone massage ease away the worries of your stress back home. Why not try a sea salt body exfoliation, or a head massage that relieves stress and stimulates the scalp?

Whether you’re staying in a Collingwood spa hotel or have reserved a room a short jaunt away from a day spa, rest after your session. Many spas recommend that you remain quiet and well-hydrated after your treatments, as a massage will release toxins that need to migrate out of your body. After a lazy catnap, sit down for a delicious meal at one of the fine restaurants that line First Street.
