We loved this hotel! The staff were so friendly and the facilities (pool and gym) were great. Breakfast was amazing - well worth the cost. It is in walking distance of union station, CN tower and plenty of nice places to eat. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Would highly recommend for families.

It was an okay stay - not bad but not great. Pros: -Location. Within walking distance to Union station. Cons: -Lacking amenities (only offered shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap) -Breakfast was expensive ($28.95/ person) but there are not many selections and they taste just meh -They have cute little mini mart next to the receptionist, but the items were not labelled with price tag. A 500mL Evian water bottle cost $4.5 before tax and recycling fee. I never really like Evian but that day I had to savour every drop of that overpriced bottle.

Hotel is right downtown (I was seeing a show at Massey Hall and it was an easy 20-25min walk) yet it’s quiet at the hotel! No super loud sirens or anything you’d normally expect. It’s right by the market if that’s your thing, too. I was just there overnight and had to leave in the morning, but the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind! I’d definitely stay again!

I stayed at the Novotel Toronto Centre because I had a work function right next door on the Esplanade. It was merely convenience. Upon checking in, I noticed that the toilet bowl was filthy and I found several long hairs in the bathroom (in the sink, on the floor, on the walls of the shower.) It looks as though housekeeping skipped the bathroom when preparing the room. There was also a very small amount of towels; only 2 shower towels and 2 face towels. I've stayed at many hotels and never seen so few. If you are alone, this might be sufficient, but if not you will definitely run out. They also could not accommodate my vehicle in the underground parking, and pointed me in the direction of the closest outdoor lot. I proceeded to park there, and got a parking ticket overnight for being there too long. It was a paid lot, and I paid the maximum rate and then was ticketed afterwards. I understand this is not a Novotel Parking Lot and they don't make the rules, but I felt mislead by the front desk when they knew I would be staying overnight, and overnight parking was apparently not possible at this lot (3 hours max until 9PM.) Sleeping was also a challenge; the walls and doors are super thin. I could hear every conversation outside of my room. I heard iPhone alarm clocks going off at 6am from joining rooms. I understand if people are loud, there is not much that can be done. But for a simple alarm clock sound to penetrate the walls is hard to comprehend. This just an average hotel.

My son & I stayed for 4 nights here, we booked it based on ratings and cleanliness and the possibility of late check out, which helped due to flying back to the UK at midnight. We loved the hotel, it was very clean, the staff were great and the room very modern. The only thing that let it down was the fact we could not have a late check out as the front desk told us the hotel was full. They did however keep our bags safe for the day after we checked out. I had checked if rooms were available beforehand and there were still rooms available. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it
