"This property was such a great location to see Maui, have food &drink options outside of the hotel, but you could also easily just stay in the hotel for everything you needed. It’s literally across the street from a great beach if you’re in need of a great beach to swim or watch sunset too. We drove down to the big resort area and this had more of a private beach and more options than them for a tenth of the price. I highly recommend. "

"Great 2 bedroom condo. Spacious and very clean. Walkable to many restaurants including Whalers village which is right next door. 2 drawbacks : shower temperature was off and hard to adjust, shower was cold for at least 5 min before becoming warm and a very loud noise was always present coming from the generators in whalers village. "You don't absolutely need a car for Howzit Maui, but it's really helpful. The hostel arranges daily tours and activities, but if you don't make it onto the sign up sheet, then you need to make your own arrangements. There are plenty of people who have car rentals, so making alternate plans isn't a big deal. There are six shared bathrooms (with showers) and a seventh just for women.
