« Having your own cabin is really nice. The kitchen was cute. The bathroom could use some updating. The shower stall didn’t have a light which made it very dark. The room also needed a new bed. The one was really old, but still had some comfort. »

« The cottage was just as shown. Extremely clean, cozy & within walking distance of Village of Black Mountain. We didn’t cook, but kitchen appeared to be well equipped for simple meal prep. We would definitely stay again. Check in & communication was easy. »

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! When we drove up and saw the relaxing front porch with seating, and the firepit close by, we knew it would be just like home! And the inside was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of room for teenagers and young children as well as adults. ( that master bedroom though! heaven!) The hospitality was great! snacks on the table, interesting books in case we were up for reading, even a pair of binoculars so that you can see the goats on the mountain out the front window! »

« We had a very quiet, peaceful two nights at River Retreat. Thoroughly labeled kitchen (and beyond) was well stocked for morning coffees on the beautiful deck overlooking the backyard and river. The beds were comfortable (a rarity) and the space was perfect for four adults. We enjoyed the gentle freeze and sound of the river, so close to town yet private and quiet. Dellene was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our needs. »

« This cottage was so charming and cozy! It was a great jumping off point to see the area from Holden Beach, locally, to Oak Island to climb the lighthouse and to Southport to walk the quaint town. The cottage is so wonderfully decorated and made us feel so welcome. The fenced-in yard was perfect for my furbaby and we enjoyed sitting out back in the evenings. Thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their sweet cottage with us! »

« This was the most thoughtfully, generously well-stocked place we've ever stayed! They seemed to have thought of everything a guest might need, plus so many charming, homey touches. It was a gorgeous drive to Chimney Rock State Park and Lure Lake, which were the highlights of our trip. »

« This was the best place for our long weekend in Bald Head! The space was perfect and had everything you could need. The owner provided a few bottles of water, coffee with cream and sugar packets, and even basic cooking spices. It is within walking distance to a few restaurants and a coffee shop if you and close to the ferry landing so we were the first drop off the tram! We will definitely be back. :) »

« We stayed in the house as a family for my son's wedding. The house was very cozy and we loved the set up.We had from age 4 to 75. It was so nice and easier to have all under 1 roof than spread out to several hotel rooms. We love the entertaining areas outside for the children to play. We loved the house and all it had to offer for us at all ages. We had a 15 min drive to downtown Ashville. ❤️ »
