"This was my family’s first time staying at Riu Palace Riviera Maya and we LOVED it! The staff was attentive, and all very nice. The food, for an all-inclusive, was great (I know a lot of people complain about the food at these places but you can’t expect Michelin quality food out of buffets). The entire property was beautiful and loved that we could walk around the Playacar area totally safe. Highly recommend! "

"Mahekal is a beautiful resort. The lush foliage and palapa “cabins” make you feel like you’re a million miles away from everything, but it’s very convenient to great restaurants. It was peaceful and serene. The staff are all amazing, especially Meraz, Claudia and Jesus Brito in the Revive Spa. The hammocks in the balcony are just an added bonus. If looking for a party scene or on-property nightlife, this isn’t the place."

"I loved the clean, simple and elegant look of everything. Our room was cleaned daily. Mini bar stocked daily. Had a bottle of champagne on arrival. They decorated the room for my husband’s birthday! All staff was always nice and attentive. My only complaint is they didn’t have many servers around the pool area. Food was ok. Would definitely come back. "

"Quiet and quaint! Little cabana in the jungle. Staff was amazing and it was our first stop after airport for a night. Would go back for sure. Google map directions are not great. Just look for the km markers and turn left when you see sign for Maroma resort. There is a hamburger stop and location is on the left!"

"I really enjoyed my stay here. It was almost perfect apart from the AC being a bit too weak and the water quality and tempreture regulation not being great. But it really did not cause much of an issue. I was able to enjoy a quiet room that was very beautiful and clean. I am so happy with my choice"
