My recent stay at this hotel was a mix of commendable service and concerning issues. First and foremost, the staff who checked me in and the valet person were amazing. They were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful, which initially set a positive tone for my stay. However, the overall experience quickly declined after this. The lobby was not clean, with a weird smell lingering in the air. The front desk table was extremely dusty, which is a basic cleanliness issue that should be easily addressed. Unfortunately, this lack of cleanliness extended to my room as well. There was hair all over the place, which was deeply unsettling. Additionally, items in the room were poorly maintained; some were even fixed with duct tape, including the remote control. The worst part of my stay was a serious safety concern. Two individuals, who were clearly not staying at the hotel, were on the elevator with what appeared to be drugs. I chose not to enter the elevator with my child because something didn’t feel right. Shortly after, one of these individuals aggressively demanded to use my phone, and then did the same to my underage sister despite my husband repeatedly asking him to step away. This incident left me feeling completely unsafe. Guests who are not staying at the hotel should not have access to the elevators or be able to loiter in the lobby, especially when exhibiting such threatening behavior. All in all it was a good stay. Reception was very kind and informative. Only negative was that the air conditioning in the room was not working. Other than that the room was clean and everything else included in the room was functional.

This is the perfect hotel for a couples or friends getaway to Montreal if you plan on spending most of your time exploring the city. It is right by a metro stop and is close walking distance to Old Montreal and the riverfront and other great districts. Pretty good value for the price. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a fridge and microwave!

Our room air conditioning was broken leading to temperatures over 85°F in the room. We told the front desk and they said we could not move rooms because they were full but also they could not fix it that night because they had no maintenance staff. There were no apologies or understanding just that we’d have to deal with it for the night. We checked out and told them we’d stay elsewhere and that we expected a full refund. It then took 5 days of working with Expedia to get someone from the hotel to authorize the refund. The manager was never reachable throughout the entire issue (repairs or refunds) and the only person who helped us was David at the reception. We got our money back but not without having to chase it down. I will not be recommending this hotel!
