The staff is kind and polite. However, don’t be fooled by the pics on the site. It is AWFUL! Stay AWAY! I did not sleep all night. The base of the bed was rotted—all moldy. The sheets were dirty as if someone slept in the bed and they were never changed. The room dirty. The refrigerator and microwave dirty. I had to the front desk for extra sheets. The phone to call the front desk was not working. I spread the crushed, not wrinkled, sheets on top of the dirty ones. Early in the morning, I spent the time showering to get the grime off. Disgusting place. I had no more money so no other choice. Never again. There are places that are inexpensive and clean but this place is cheap and dirty. NEVER AGAIN! I gave it one star because no stars was unavailable. Angella

THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! DIDN’T EVEN STAY A FULL HOUR BEFORE ME AND MY WIFE LEFT. COCKROACHES, TRASH EVERYWHERE. OLD EXPIRED FOOD IN THE FRIDGE. PLACE LOOKED LIKE IT HADN’T BEEN CLEANED IN MONTHS! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!

The room was fine. The only problem I could mention was the bed, the mattress was uneven and your head was lower than your legs if you slept with your head against the headboard.

Our room was nice to lay our heads Down that was about it. It was a nice area and nice hotel on the outside. But once you got into the room it was so dirty. There was a used toothbrush under the mini fridge. A Lollipop and candy wrappers on the floor looks like the room wasn’t even cleaned at all. The shower curtain wasn’t cleaned it was so dirty the ceiling tiles in the bathroom looked water logged and ready to fall down. When I woke up that morning went to the bathroom their were cockroaches in the bathroom sink. The air conditioner had all kinds of dust on it. The blankets had cigarette holes on it.

Beware
The room had bugs. The sheets / blankets had holes in them. The TV package was a total of 13 channels and 2 of those were DirecTv ads. I went to take a shower and roaches were crawling in the bathtub. I have never stayed in a room this bad in all the years and different places I have traveled. I mentioned something to the front desk and the only thing he could do was pass the information. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I booked a weekend stay I checked in Friday night and checked out about one hour later… The site that I booked this place from should take their name from this place… I try getting a refund I was talking to their chat online they said hold on so that they could gather my info I am still holding on. I want a refund, I also took pictures of the mattress and bathroom . Run from there I think I click on the wrong place I usually look for great reviews.

I was unable to check into my room due to a man wailing a chefs knife in the parking lot by the door. The police were contacted after he did not leave. I made several attempts to cancel my reservation as the website says free cancellation (with no time limit). The manager of the hotel refused to refund me or cancel my reservation and said the guy with the knife in the parking lot always comes around and is ‘harmless’ and that my room was still available and I should go in. I did not. HORRIFIC experience

Avoid this property at all costs. Condition of the room was horrible. Sheets were dirty and had old cigarette burns and many visible stains. Carpet had holes it it and is filthy. Box spring sides were exposed and covers were shredded. Walls were dirty with some kind of fuzz or lint embedded in them. Pillows looked they were stuffed with 3-inch foam cubes. I left immediately. Property would not give me a refund. I have photos to document all of the above.

The hotel smelled of smoke upon entrance and in the rooms. When we entered the room there was a big bug that was on the night stand. The blankets and bed skirting were all torn up. If we didn't check in a little before midnight we wouldn't have stayed. I went to shower the next morning but the towels were dirty. The shower had bugs all through it. When I left the door wouldn't even shut. Waiting to hear back from management on refunding the second night. We left and rented a room at motel 6. We had a lot better of an experience there!

Check-in was smooth and Front-Desk staff were pleasant. However, when we got to our room we were greeted with an unpleasant smell. There was no toilet paper in the room and nowhere to put it! Bedding was in place, but not pressed and was dirty. Bed skirts were ripped and threadbare. TV Remote had only one battery. Walls showed damage with no signs of attempted repair. Towels we old and thin. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. We did not stay.

If I could rate this place a negative (-) number, I’d rate it -10. It is NOT a hotel for tourists, but instead a place where locals, down on their luck, live year-round. The whole place reeks of stale, ground-in filth and cigarettes, and our room was disgustingly dirty, abused, and neglected. (Pix to follow) It’s a local dive (aka ‘roach motel’) that’s either used for impoverished year-round living, of cheap room rental to have sex with a stranger (and then depart). It was deplorable and disgusting in EVERY regard, and we could not feel safe or comfortable staying there, so we left and found another place (a Choice hotel) nearby.

This room was not good at all. When we walked in we had soap only for "toiletries" provided. There was residue on the chairs, the box springs look like they had a fight with a cat, a white spot on the floor, the door was duck taped and a patched over whole in the wall. I then had to ask for pillows, which there were none to give, towels, and an ice bucket. BUT that wasn't the worst part. I'm lying in bed and a ROACH crawled up the wall next to my head. There were Roaches everywhere. They laughed at the front desk and gave me roach spray. That is disgusting,  and appalling. I would be ashamed.

Booked a room online for the Budget Host Inn in Lancaster, PA Checked in and paid for the room on my credit card Fri. July 21, 8:49pm EST Room was disgusting. Smelled strongly of urine, baking soda powder was all over the carpet presumably to absorb the odor, which it wasn’t doing. The sheets, beds walls, furniture was disgusting and dilapidated. Never seen a hotel/motel room as horrible as that. Spoke to the person at the front desk asking for another room. Was told they couldn’t not give us another room. Then told him we refuse to stay and would like a refund. Was told he could not give us a refund and we would have to talk to a manager the next day. Called back to talk to a manager the next day. The person I spoke to said she could not do anything, but would leave a message with my information for the manager and they would get back to me. After waiting for two days to hear back from the manager, I called again and spoke to a different person. They said they could not do anything, but could forward me to the manager’s voice mail. Left a message on the manager’s voice explaining the situation. Have yet to hear back from them. Continuous call to the hotel have gone nowhere with everyone I speak to saying "they're not in charge of that" and when this people forward me to some who address the issue they do not answer or call me back.

This place is absolutely horrible!! We walked into our room and left immediately! The walls are filthy, the hallway smelled like standing water/cat pee, the beds were disgusting, lamp shades were missing, the door appeared to be kicked in, the wall next to the first bed was patched but not sanded or painted, the red chair was all torn up, the place is disgusting! We drove a few feet down to Econo lodge and that place was no better!! I would not recommend staying in this area! After two hotels and driving 10 hours from Michigan we are leaving at 2:30am from the second hotel with no refund from either hotel and no idea where we are going to stay!!! I will never visit this area again!

very dirty, holes in the walls ,large area of paint chipping of of walls, curtain rod broken, bath tub filthy, ashes all over bed night stand, at least for different rooms fighting going on at different times of the night, the picture looks nothing like the rooms I say rooms because we had to move from room 222 to 213 tv old and broken both rooms where filth. First the positive. The room was comfortable and very affordable. Air conditioning was excellent and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Also, plenty of restaurants nearby in walking distance. For the negative, the room needed repairs such as patching holes in the walls and repainting them, caulking in the bathroom, and upgrading the light fixtures. If you don't mind these deficiencies, the Budget Host Inn offers a comfortable, low-cost alternative to the higher-priced motels in the area.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
This was literally the worst hotel I have ever seen in my life. Dirtiest place I've ever seen in my life. Shower was dirty, covers were sticky, No channels on the TV. Hallway smelled like someone died in it. They had no extra towels, customer service was very poor. There was a few times I went downstairs and he was sleep in a chair in the lobby in the middle of the day. Management is nonexistent over there. NEVER IN YOUR WILDEST DREAM BOOK THIS PLACE, YOU WOULD RATHER SLEEP IN YOUR CAR OR OUTSIDE
