What you can expect
Enjoy a day of wine tasting and leisurely cycling along the majestic River Danube in the stunning countryside of Wachau Valley. Stroll through Austrian villages, explore medieval castle ruins and enjoy a traditional wine-tavern lunch with plenty of local wines to sample.
Head out of Vienna by train and join your group for a scenic cycle to multiple wine-tasting destinations, each part of Austria’s most celebrated wine region. Try out some of the delicious wines, perfectly paired with local jams and chocolates.
Make your way to six villages, the most prominent being Dürnstein. Here you can wander through the Kuenringer Castle ruins where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. See a unique side of Wachau and learn about the history of the area with your knowledgeable guide.
Join for a swim in the “beautiful blue Danube” before making your way back to Vienna feeling refreshed and invigorated.
