Description

Navigate over 60 heart-pounding, roller coaster rapids with an expert guide on the Tongariro River. Enjoy complimentary transfers from Taupo or join the adventure from the rafting base in Turangi. Be greeted on arrival and kitted out with all the necessary gear. From the rafting base, a bus will take you to the top of the river.

Receive an on-shore safety briefing and paddle instructions with an experienced guide. Take on Grade 3 rapids – an ideal grade for first-time rafters right up to experienced paddlers. Be treated to incredible sights along the Tongariro River that are only accessible by raft.

After your river adventure, return to the rafting base to view your epic photos. Enjoy a deli-style lunch during summer months or hot soup with bread during winter.

Never been on a white water raft experience. They made it fun, exciting and thrilling. Would definitely go again. The team here was great!

Rafting was amazing, even in the rain! Very friendly guides and a great overall experience. Loved the hot chocolate mid journey and the soup on return - very welcome on a cold winter day!

We loved the whole day. Our guide, Tone, was fabulous, he was friendly, full of knowledge and so experienced. He made us look good! The rafting was fun and not as cold as expected. The hot pool after was great and the home made soup really tasty. We’ve rafted several times, in lots of other countries and this was the most enjoyable.
