What you can expect

Visit a picturesque artist’s village just north of Budapest along the Danube River. Explore the streets of Szentendre as you snack on a traditional Hungarian treat. Rich with culture, this tour provides ample opportunity to visit museums and shop in local stores.

Begin your tour near the Parliament, the world’s third largest Parliament building. Follow the road as it meanders north to the Baroque village of Szentendre. Built upon medieval ruins alongside the Danube River, this town is full of charm and history. Your friendly guide shares fascinating tales and interesting facts about the village as you wander down the narrow and brightly coloured alleyways.

As the day progresses you stop for an authentic Hungarian lángos - a deep-fried flatbread. Then, your guide gives you the chance to explore the city at your own pace. Choose to visit museums, such as the Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum, or shop at the vibrant local stores, where you can find souvenirs to remind you of this remarkable trip.
