What you can expect

  • Our guide will meet you near the National Theatre Ivan Vazov. You will visit more than 20 attractions and cultural monuments of Sofia.

    ⯇⯈ For convenience and good audibility of the excursion, you will be given audio guides and headphones. With them you can move comfortably, enter the temples, take photographs, and all this will allow you not to stand next to the guide, but to listen to him at a distance of up to 200 metres.

    The tour will end at the Presidency, where you will be able to see and take a video of the presidential guards' changing.

    ⯇⯈ Now you can choose to visit Vitosha mountain (near Aleko Hut) as a part of your visit! Simply select it as the option of your ticket. It includes the original group audio-guided walking tour with a guide, however, at the end we will ride you above Sofia, where you can find a traditional lunch, enjoy the city views, and relax in nature. Then, after 2 hours, we will transport you back to the centre of the city.

    Sofia is one of the few European capitals with a mountain rising right beside the city! Vitosha mountain is 2,290 metres high, and it offers an exceptional opportunity to combine sightseeing in the capital with a true mountain experience in the same day.

    ⯇⯈ At Aleko Hut, visitors can enjoy warm traditional Bulgarian food and experience Vitosha the way many locals from Sofia do on weekends. The area also has an important place in Bulgarian tourism history - the hut is named after writer Aleko Konstantinov, one of the founders of the organised tourist movement in Bulgaria. From here, several hiking and eco trails lead through the mountain, offering fresh air, peaceful nature and beautiful panoramic views over Sofia and the surrounding landscape.

    ⎈ 10:30 - 13:00 h: Walking Tour in Sofia Centre
    ⎈ 13:00 - 13:45 h: Transport to Aleko Hut (in Vitosha mountain)
    ⎈ 13:45 - 16:00 h: Free time to enjoy a traditional Bulgarian lunch, take photos, and relax in nature
    ⎈ 16:00 - 16:45 h: Transport back to Sofia Centre
