Once you've arrived in Toronto's museum district, enter through "The Crystal" main entrance, which was designed by Daniel Libeskind and first opened in 2007. With Druxy's ROM Café located within the glass and aluminium entrance, you can begin with lunch or choose to stop by after perusing the museum.

The museum boasts 5 major galleries, featuring the fields of zoology, palaeontology, mineralogy, geology and archaeology. Visit the Gallery of Birds to see specimens of more than 100 species on display, dare to brave the bat cave or venture into the simulated Jamaican natural habitat.

Also included in your admission is a sampling of travelling exhibitions that are rotated through the museum. After spending your day among the many collections at the museum, make sure to stop by the gift shop before exiting.
