We will start our day with the 2 famous caves of Kefalonia, Melissani and Drogarati.
Walk an underground path and discover the place of worship dedicated to Pan and Nympth Melissani. Myths mention that Melissani committed suicide and fell in the lake because Pan was not responding to her feelings for him.
Step into a small boat and take a tour of the cave.
A visit to Drogarati Cave will let you admire countless stalactites and stalagmites, formed 150 million years ago.
The acoustic in the cave is fantastic, and it can host up to 500 people. For this reason many concerts are organised in this cave and we can mention 2 important artists, Pavarotti and Maria Callas.
We can't leave the east coast of Kefalonia without a lunch stop close to Karavomilos Lake, close to the beach. You can swim there too!
We will continue our excursion and drive to the West coast of the island, but not before making some beautiful photos of Sami, Itacha island and Agia Efimia Village.
Our next stop will be one hour at the most famous beach of Kefalonia (top 10 in Greece), where you can enjoy the unreal turquoise and clear water.
The next stop will be at Assos Village, a traditional and picturesque place. You have 1 hour free time to eat, drink a coffee, swim or just have a walk on the tiny and colourful roads.
On our way back to your hotel we will have a photo stop for Myrtos (from the top) and Assos, and another one for Argostoli.
