Fort Worth City Tour

by Authentic Fort Worth Sights and Scenes Duration 2h Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is C$33

Immerse yourself in the history of Fort Worth, from its early days as an outpost on the western frontier through its modern accomplishments of today. Join a local guide for a look back at the Old Wild West and the daily cattle drives that still take place today.

See Sundance Square (named for the Sundance Kid), where modern shopping and entertainment options intersect with preserved architecture and red brick lanes. Board a bus covered with cattle and cowboys and head off into the streets of the city, passing by the JFK tribute in General Worth Square, where the President gave his last speech before his assassination in nearby Dallas.

As you continue on, your guide regales you with stories of the city's history, from its importance as a former trading post for cowboys to its significant contributions to aviation. Drive through Hell's Half Acre, a rough and rowdy district during the days of the Old Wild West, known for its brothels, saloons, and gambling parlours.

Scope out the turn-of-the-century architecture of the historic mansion at Thistle Hill, and then make your way to Log Cabin Village, a living history museum that depicts life in Texas in the mid-19th century. Here you can see restored log homes, preserved artefacts, and other important items from the days of the pioneering era.

Your tour concludes at the Stockyards, where daily cattle drives bring longhorns from behind the corral out into the streets. Be driven back to the meeting point by your guide.
