What you can expect

Meet your representative outside the ticket office at 6:30am with your printed train tickets for your outbound and inbound rail journeys. Your train will depart at 7:00am and arrive in to Edinburgh at 11:22am. Please print all tickets for both your return rail journey and attraction tickets and have access to these on your smart devices for a backup

Arrive before midday, just in time to tour the city in an open-top bus. This is a great way to get your bearings and spot the places you want to explore further. Walk to Waverley Bridge and head to the breathtaking Edinburgh Castle, which dominates the skyline from atop its rocky terrace. Take some time to explore the castle, seeing the Royal Apartments and Scottish Crown Jewels.

Grab lunch in one of the many top restaurants or cafés; then discover more of the city's popular attractions, including the splendid Royal Mile, the Queen's Scottish residence at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and the famous Greyfriars Bobby monument.

Head back to the train station in time to catch the 5:31 PM train for a nighttime return to London.
