What you can expect

Explore the shores of Eurimbula National Park and make thrilling beach landings in an amphibious boat on this aquatic adventure. Enjoy a picnic lunch with sweeping views of Round Hill Head's rugged point and Bustard Bay's steely waters. Along the way, look for wildlife and learn about Seventeen Seventy's past.

Meet up with your guide and captain at the marina in city centre Seventeen Seventy and climb aboard your vessel for the day, a LARC. Short for “Lighter, Amphibious, Resupply, Cargo”, this intriguing craft was made to drive right up on shore after pounding through heavy surf and waves. Initially designed for military uses, it’s also an ideal way to find a sunny picnic spot on Eurimbula National Park's pristine shoreline.

Head out into the waters of Bustard Bay as you chat with your captain about the history of Seventeen Seventy and keep your eyes peeled for area wildlife including playful pods of dolphins and graceful stingrays. Find out how Seventeen Seventy got its curious name as you hear about the town's history and tuck into a picnic lunch after landing the amphibious craft on a sunny stretch of sand. After you eat, hop back in the LARC and head back to the marina.
