Expedia\u2019s winter travel outlook highlights this year\u2019s winter trends as well as best ways to save and when to book.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Global travellers flock to Canada:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Americans exploring the great white north<\/strong><strong><sup>1<\/sup><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Many Canadian destinations have seen a search increase among American travellers this winter season. Vancouver, which is set to host the final leg of the Era\u2019s tour, has seen a 113 per cent surge in searches from a U.S. origin. This is a 6 per cent increase compared to the previous year. To maximize savings, depart on a Sunday instead of Saturday to save around 8 per cent on domestic flights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Winter Travel Tips:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Find the sweet sp<\/strong><strong>ot for bookings:<\/strong> Expedia data shows the ideal booking window for winter travel is 21 to 30 days out for optimal savings. Booking 14 to 20 days increases average prices by 3 per cent, whereas booking 91+ days could see a jump of 32 per cent higher rates on average.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Opt for morning flights<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> According to Expedia\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.ca\/newsroom\/expedia-releases-the-2024-air-travel-hacks-report-revealing-best-days-to-book-and-fly-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2024 Air Travel Hacks Report<\/a>, morning departures are 18 per cent less prone to cancellations than flights after 3 p.m<sup>10<\/sup>., highlighting the benefits of seizing the day.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Take advantage of sales deals:<\/strong> From now until Dec 4<sup>th<\/sup> travellers can save 30 per cent or more on select hotels, when booking as a member.
