Beautiful property and excellent staff. There was so much to love, but as others have mentioned

The property is beautiful but the terracotta/ orange sand that blew in from the desert was all over the floor in our room. Our luggage being wheeled in, also carried the orange sand into our room, so our socks and feet turned orange. When I went to use a very white towel, there was a dark “something” folded into it. I thought it was a bug. Thankfully when my husband checked, it turned out to be granola that wasn’t cleaned in their wash.

Overall, our stay at the hotel was enjoyable and the location was incredibly convenient—perfectly situated for exploring Athens. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. Although we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready, they graciously stored our luggage so we could begin sightseeing right away. We also received a complimentary rooftop drink discount, which was a nice touch. Our room matched the photos online and was clean and well-appointed. However, the bed consisted of two twin mattresses pushed together and wasn’t particularly comfortable. The bathroom was compact, and the shower was quite small—despite keeping the doors closed, water leaked onto the floor, soaking the bath mat. A helpful heads-up for travelers: like many places in Greece, the hotel requires guests not to flush toilet paper. Upon arrival, we learned the chef was out sick, so we opted to bring desserts to the rooftop to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, we were asked to leave as outside food isn’t permitted, which was disappointing given the circumstances. One highlight was the hotel’s car service—it was seamless and reliable, though priced slightly higher than another hotel we stayed at. That said, the convenience and professionalism made it worthwhile. We especially appreciated the staff’s honesty and safety tips about staying alert while walking around the city. In summary the hotel delivered great service and had the perfect location!

This hotel, like many others marked as “VIP Access,” offers no real benefits. Despite clear upgrade availability the night before check-in, we were told nothing was available once we mentioned VIP status—a recurring pattern where upgrades are consistently denied using vague excuses. If a non-VIP guest wanted to pay, I’m certain a room would have been available. There was no recognition, no perk, no welcome amenity—nothing. Even after raising the issue with guest relations, no effort was made to address it. Additionally, the advertised valet parking doesn’t exist and isn’t needed—it’s just misleading. This feels more like a marketing trick than a real program. I strongly urge you to review and remove this hotel from the VIP Access list.

If you’re on the fence about staying here — PLEASE READ THIS! This hotel is absolute luxury. We traveled from the U.S. with our two kids (ages 6 and 2), and this was hands down one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we landed, the service was flawless. As soon as we stepped into the hotel — WOW. Pure luxury, pristine cleanliness, and a view that literally took our breath away. Mary at the front desk and Eleni from guest relations welcomed us so warmly, making check-in a breeze. Our grand suite with a private pool was ready within the hour. The room itself was stunning — spacious, beautifully designed, with a full-size bed and crib already set up for our toddler. We honestly didn’t want to leave the room — that’s how gorgeous and serene it was. The entire property is meticulously maintained. You can feel how much pride the staff takes in keeping everything immaculate. They also offer a golf cart shuttle to take you anywhere on the grounds, which was super convenient with kids. What sets this hotel apart is its intimacy. Unlike large resorts where you’re just another guest, here you’re treated like royalty. The owner — an absolute gem of a woman — was so gracious and thoughtful. One evening, she even let me borrow her brand-new scarf for dinner! She personally arranged a special dinner for us at her restaurant by the water. I traveled all over the world, and I’ve never stayed anywhere as beautiful! I will be back soon for sure!
