Fabulous location in an historic building with view of the downtown harbour. No parking but staff provided a permit for on-road parking which worked well. Slight smell of cooking in main public areas. Air conditioning was a bit iffy, but then St John's is not a tropical destination so all was fine.

The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
The TV was very old. Wasn’t a smart tv. Had to hook up my own firestick to watch anything. Not a huge deal but I thought it was odd for a nice hotel.
The only other thing is that the jets need to be cleaned in the jacuzzi tub. There was all kinds of black debris/algae that was floating around in the tub and settled to the bottom when drained. To be honest, it left me with a gross feeling of the fact I had been soaking in someone else’s dirt. I hadn’t planned on contacting anyone but friends convinced me I should let someone know. I would be hesitant to go there again because of it.
Sorry to complain. But someone should really run a cleaner through the jets of the tub.
