Normandy Isle Waterpark Vacations

Room is quite dated but was more than adequate and clean. There were long waits for elevators as 1 was almost always out of service. The hot tub, which they advertise as one of there main amenities, was out of order, and from talking to others it seems it had been for several weeks at least. Our suite was on the 15th floor and had a great ocean view over the top of several blocks of other buildings. Doubtful you would have much of a view of anything below the sixth floor. Beware "ocean facing" rooms as opposed to "ocean view rooms." While it looks like it is right on the beach from the pictures, it is actually a couple blocks away. It is not like an all inclusive where you walk out your front door right on to the beach. Additionally, this section of FL beach has very few restaurants and shops, and what there is, are not top of the line. When we arrived, we were told they overbooked our room and we were in a regular villa, not a premium 3 bedroom. The units were not updated. We ended up in a four bedroom, which was nice, but the pictures on the website are deceiving because each villa is unique to what the owner has done as far as renovations.

Nice staff and great location on South Beach. The Penguin is clean and very comfortable.

Staff was great, very clean, phenomenal breakfast, and nice pool area. Its was nice to be in walking distance to everything without having to rent a car- that was a plus and what I was originally looking for. It’s a cute place but if you’re looking for a coffee maker in your room or a place to set your toiletries in the bathroom other than the back of the toilet, this isn’t the place for you. You also get charged an additional $150 resort fee on top of your stay which is absolutely absurd after how much you pay to stay there without room service or being able to take your food back to your room. I honestly would’ve paid less with more amenities at a Marriott with no extra hidden charges until arrival and then another $150 deposit pending on your card until check out.
