Very nice property. Friendly service, spacious rooms, and a great location right near Museumplein tram stop. 5 stars.

The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

Rude front desk, don’t get fooled by ratings. Old, dusty, smelly, and misleading with lots of turns and steps that also make hailing luggage very difficult (803 is actually 3rd floor) Bathrooms had no bolts and no were glass doors. I’m shocked it’s a 5-star. It’s really overall a 2 star quality. We had a very bad experience at the front desk. We came in the morning and I specifically mentioned we had booked 2 deluxe rooms for 1 adult and 1 child each that We came back at around 5pm past the checkout time, there was a new lady Paula, and she put us in rooms that were in separate corners even though the numbers were 426 and 427. Then I went back and the new lady started arguing saying that we were lucky if we got rooms even in the same floor (forget a view!). I just politely told her that since she was new, I would work with the other more experienced agent. They refused to provide 2 keys, and we really needed them for the parents to go between rooms and because we need to put one in the electricity slot to get electricity for the room. We entered the room and the free water was not stocked in the refrigerator. Concierge was absent almost always, the reception doesn’t react to requests to find out where they are, and there’s no estimate of when we expect to see them. Knowing this hotel and how they reply to every review,they’ll also reply to this once the the same copy paste response. Totally avoid this hotel!!! Terrible completely incompetent staff!!

Nice room, brunch in main eating area was nice. Calm and relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel and room were beautiful. It is right on a canal with a canal cruise a block away. Conveniently to shopping and the Anne Frank Museum. Cute cats, treats, helpful suggestions from front desk. Wonderful!
