(102 reviews) The loft is clean, beautiful, and well-furnished. The building is old so there is some natural wear and tear but that only adds to the charm. The soundproofing is okay, not terrible, but you can hear other guests walking up the stairs and some minimal noise from the street. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, cups, plates, cookware, and small appliances, but the stovetops are quite worn and the teapot is badly rusted. There are no filters for the coffee maker, sponges, or paper towels, so you'll have to buy them yourself. Also, the tiles on the terrace are in rough shape and need to be replaced. Besides that, everything else was great. The area is convenient -- a short walk to Rue Saint Joseph and the Old City, even in winter. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Walking to restaurants usualy meant up a very steep hill, but it wasn't far and you were close to grocery, liquor store and tons of restaurants, pubs, live music, historical buildings. (673 reviews) We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay again when we come back to Quebec. It’s location is close to everything, as in everything( restaurants, art galleries, museums,port and the Quebec sign, shopping and of course the legendary Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac (like 8 minutes walk). Not only the unit is very spacious and modern, it also has 2 baths and 2 bedrooms and a complete kitchen with a full size ref and oven. It was very convenient especially when it was very cold during our stay, we cooked our own breakfast and lunch and just sit cozily in the couch while enjoying our K-dramas! (101 reviews) Stayed here for a week in Dec. and got to know this place well. The good: It’s in a quiet area and the bedroom is very dark, so easy to get a good sleep. Great shower, kitchen amenities, and a solid living area. The place was quite clean and spacious. The so-so: Instead of a duvet cover, the duvet was sandwiched between two top-sheets so it was difficult to keep it covered. In winter, the baseboard heating struggled to get above 20-21c. The apartment is located in Old Québec near a few cute/quaint streets, however it’s located at the bottom of a very steep hill that must be climbed if you want to go anywhere on foot (including other parts of old Québec). There is a funicular that can cut out some of the climb if you’re willing to wait. A good location but would be mindful of the stairs. The bad: The apartment is at street level in a decently well-trafficked area. There are privacy shades, but they do not fully cover the windows and people using the door adjacent to the window can easily see in. Also, considering the winter conditions in Quebec, the apartment could be better outfitted for coming and going. It’s difficult not to track in snow and slush. A bench to take shoes off and a coat rack would go a long way. Finally, the TV is basically unusable. Netflix is not compatible, screen mirroring doesn't work, and the cable package is limited to basic channels with no way to pay for additional ones during your stay.
