The property was very clean and the cleaning staff were friendly. The pillows were not nice and I didn't sleep as they were so uncomfortable. I didn't like not having a reception as we needed help. I thought it was expensive.

Do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel. It's walking distance from everything ( great food and shopping). This hotel has a restaurant that's awesome! The breakfast is a must and the drinks and dinner was excellent! We didn't have lunch here but I'm sure it's great. The staff is so hospitable! Valentina and Deborah ( I only remember these names but everyone was good) made us feel so welcomed there. We planned a boat trip and it was supposed to rain a little that day. I was hesitant about the rain but Valentina assured us it would be worth it!! And it was!! The skipper Alberto was patient and knowledgeable!
The hotel packed a beautiful bag with food for the boat ride. I almost cried. It was beautifully packed for us. They have a shuttle service that was so convenient. I got sick one night and I had to leave our dinner ( somewhere else) and when I came back I must have looked horrible. Deborah said what do you need? How can we help you? I said I just needed to lay down. These people are soooo caring. I hope the manager realizes what he has in his staff. They are wonderful people. We stayed at a few other hotels in Zurich and we all said it's not Avenue Boutique.
We so enjoyed it and we are ever in Como again. We will stay here for Sure!!
