This hotel is mainly a wedding and event space. There are only few rooms in the actual castle and they only serve afternoon tea there now, all other dining, bar and accommodations are in the nearby new modern building. I was quite disappointed by this as it was not clear when I booked.
However the newer hotel building was actually really nice. The rooms and bathrooms were modern and well appointed. The staff were helpful and friendly. The place was really dead on a Tuesday but there was still live entertainment at the restaurant, which was nice.

Location is great.
Door cant be locked, bath in a disgusting state, the tv looks ready to fall off the wall and having to listen to someone strimming grass for 2 hours (4:15 - 6:30) without safety gear on, quite obvious they didnt know how to use it and with music headphones on which is dangerous not to mention not legal in the work envioroment.

Pros, Hotel is dog friendly. There's a nice area to walk dogs to the side of the hotel. Staff are very nice. Good selection offered on breakfast.
Cons, Think some areas of the hotel are in need of being updated/repaired. Bedroom was boiling hot and there was no way to regulate the heat.
