Room was unbearably hot on the first day. Someone left the thermometer on 30C... It took the whole night & following day to cool down as it was a top floor (3rd Fl) apartment and being under the eaves the heat was trapped. The only ventilation was a velux window in the sitting room. There was no way to ventilate the bedroom, which was steaming hot. All the windows in the bedroom were locked by the hotel. The coffee machine was broken. Expedia website says: "Exceptional service & staff The top-rated staff and service will ensure you feel welcome and pampered." But the property is unstaffed as per small print. We had stayed here (and at other Yays) before, when it was still had a front desk. During a major power cut Numa took hours to reply to guests who had asked for advice. On collecting suitcases from a locker inside the building, my access code no longer worked and I had to wait for online help. Yays said the code did work but it did not and I resorted to take photos showing I was still outside. It all took a bit too long and was stressful. Luckily another guest heard me knocking and let me in. Then had to run to catch my train. Building is clean. Has a lift and very steep stairs. Furniture is fine, bed was fine. Location is great. Personally I prefer a place with front desk staff etc but if you don't require that it is fine.

Perfect place to stay, convenient location, 15 min walk from a direct tram (number 4) to centraal station. The hotel itself is beautiful, spotless. Hotel bar is beautiful and cozy. Reception area lovely. Staff there were always incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The room (Deluxe) was huge, well placed mirrors, wardrobe size was great, shower was always good, bed was GIANT, with soft sheets and a comfy mattress. TV was in a great spot so was always comfortable to watch. Limited options for the TV of what to watch unless renting a film (roughly £10 each). The spa area was amazing. It was so clean, and well maintained. We were fortunate enough to experience the spa hut to ourselves my partner and I. The spa shuts at 10pm so a late night spa trip was the way to go. We would get what felt like private use of the pool, sauna and steam room and a little shower before leaving! Just all round a 5 star hotel and I couldn’t have been more grateful to have the opportunity to stay here, it allowed for me and my partner to have the best anniversary we could’ve asked for. The hotel is tucked away in Bergen, which is a very beautiful little high-end village near Alkmaar, The Netherlands. We stayed only for one night -- 17 hours to be precise -- as part of a larger group gathering. The group dinner was held at the hotel, and it was outstanding and highly recommended. Staff are nice. We had booked a room for two persons. Our room clean and with two windows overlooking a beautiful courtyard, but it was rather small -- about two feet on one side of a queen-size bed and a three-feet-band passage on the other sides -- with rather minimalistic furnishings and space. We had no room and place to put our luggage or unpack the immediate necessities. If we stay there again, we will definitely urge for a larger room.

Room was not ready when we arrived. Relocated to new room. Bathroom light not working. Single beds very small and noisy. Noticeable noise from room above. 15 minute walk to Anne Frank House.

They have the nicest staffs here, very warm and considerate, very welcoming and thoughtful comparing to the other hotel we lived the night before, they gave us some silver lining while stuck in Amsterdam in snow. Would definitely revisit this boutique hotel next time x

staff were good, room was clean and I especially appreciated the complimentary beer and snacks. Didn't feel like I was being nickel and dimed.

The staff was very attentive and cordial. The rooms are lovely, clean, with an incredible location. If you eat at the bar/restaurant…the pasta and hamburger are delicious. And the focaccia… leaves your mouth watering. You have to order it with the tomato-feta dish. The gym was on the smaller side , but we usually had it for ourselves. It has a handful of cardio machines and upstairs, a good selection of weights with a bench and bands. There was also a TV with workouts you could choose from. Good ambiance! We also rented the bikes. So fun!!!!! It will definitely be my place of choice to stay again!
