(1,928 reviews) I would rate this property 3/5 stars. I was disappointed and not impressed with the quality of my stay walking into what is rated as a 4 star resort. I will say the staff was friendly overall and the pool area ambiance was lovely, but that’s all I can comment positively on. For a 4 star resort the quality of food was sub par, barely warm at times, dry, and not fresh tasting. The first night our shower drain that was surrounded by a circle of rust did not drain, so we called and it was remedied. The fourth day my friend got sick with vomiting, and had not drank at all, so unsure what caused that. On the fifth day we came back to the room with only our beds made, room not cleaned and no towels restocked. What I did appreciate was the complimentary changing room to shower when we left for a later flight. It’s not too far from the Atlantis and is close to cabbage beach which was also nice. I wouldn’t return to this location. From the time we walked into, or rather exited our taxi we experienced the most awesome professionalism, accommodation, welcoming energy from the staff. We would return to the RIU as a result of the good vibes and good food we experienced throughout our stay. However, we would like to see the rooms upgrades to match the quality service and good food. Also the spa service wasn’t appealing. I was asked to walk down and pay for my massage a day prior to actually getting the massage, I also had schedule time in the hot tub and was told there was no more space. This was a turn off. Can’t say I ever experienced the Bahama massage due to the inconvenience. Overall it was great experience. (4,596 reviews) This was our first visit to the Baha Mar. We do not usually go to resorts of this size, but a friend encouraged us to join their family on vacation. We loved it and so did our daughter! The water park was really fun, the pools were great, and the beach was very nice! We were there over New Year's and there was an awesome fireworks show at midnight. There was so much to do that we have plenty of things left to experience on our next trip! There are a lot of travel blogs that have tips for trips to the resort and it is definitely worth reading the tips that are out there and doing research!
