This is a mixed review because there were things we genuinely liked about this hotel. The property is beautiful-very modern with a relaxed boho vibe & the location is great, close to beaches, the marina, and grocery stores. The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating during our stay. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues and had to change rooms 3 times. The first room had a sliding door that wouldn’t close properly, so we were moved right away. The second room was on the second level facing the main street and the noise was extremely loud starting around 6am, garbage trucks, construction, traffic, and street noise. The windows seem to have very little sound insulation because the noise sounded almost the same whether the window was open or closed. Since this was supposed to be a relaxing trip, we asked to move again. We accepted a downgrade to a room without a kitchen just to get away from the street. Unfortunately that room had a connecting door with almost no soundproofing, and we could clearly hear the guests next door talking, brushing their teeth, using the bathroom, and watching TV. At that point we asked for a refund and considered leaving, but the staff tried to help and offered a room on a new floor that was quieter. However there was no Wi-Fi and we also had AC issues. Overall the hotel is beautiful and the staff were kind, but the noise, room changes, lack of Wi-Fi, and AC problems made the stay disappointing. No compensation was offered.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 5 years. I have stayed in the hotel marina too many times to count since 2012\. It has always been a warm, relaxing experience. The inclusive breakfast is easy ( they offer a beautiful buffet with fruits, omelets and egg cooked to order and many Mexican specialties when the hotel has higher occupancy. When occupancy drops the same foods are offered on the menu or by asking. Their green juice smoothie is fantastic! We have only done dinner at the hotel once. Our preference is to dine in town which is easily accessed by water taxis from the hotel dock. Our last stay was during the cartel troubles during February 2026\. The hotel placed printed information at our room with the services changes and recommended “ shelter in” plan for guests. They were reminding visitors to make sure to have plenty of bottled water in the room and to dine or request any staff services before a specified evening hour. Many of the staff could not travel home after their shift, so sheltered in at the hotel, some overnight. The staff that had knowledge of what was happening on the roads and communities around us reported their sightings. The services during the “shelter in place” were minimally affected by having to use paper napkins instead of linen, some fresh food items had run low as delivery of fresh produce and laundry room staff could not get into work. I felt well informed, safe and thankful for so many staff members and their dedication.

This was are second trip to the resort. We last stayed in January of 2023\. The good very clean, food was amazing, nice staff, improvements being made to the resort including adding another tower. The bad no chairs available by the pools or beach after 9:45am, beach area very small, short staff which made wait times longer, being sold as a family resort personally feel that it is set up for couples. Based on cost to stay and how busy we will not be making a third trip back to the resort.

Food in here was delicious! Lots of healthy choices and the all inclusive was amazing for the price! Staff was lovely and welcoming. You can’t swim in the beach due to rocks, you have to get transportation and go somewhere else if that’s what you’re looking for. Our room was big and taken care of. I’d come to Hacienda encantada again!
