From the moment we checked in, it was delight to be staying at the Pelican! Everything was so convenient that it made our days of fun and exploring easy. We recommend staying here if you’re looking for something upper class yet personable and friendly. The food in the restaurant is impeccable!

I have been visiting pelican grand for well over a decade on and off and I hadnt been back in a few years and I thought the property looked much more run down! There were rust stains on walls near the pool and it just didnt feel as luxurious as it used to. I do think it might be time for a facelift for the pool area. Overall I do love this hotel and the room was comfortable and quiet. I love that the beach is right there and the dining options are nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our spa massages. The resort is spread out and we will keep the villas in mind for larger family vacations. Staff is generally trained well but frequently do not go the extra mile one expects to find at a luxury resort. Salt and Ash was a nice dining experience but not altogether unique. We actually discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant, off-property. The Angler and Ale restaurant was mixed, inconsistent; some of the food was hit or miss. Had to send back the yellow tail piccata because the fish smelled fishy and the piccata sauce was overcooked, stiff not a juicy lemon-butter caper sauce that it should have been. Some staff was friendly and helpful, others were aloof and rather militant in their approach to customer service. Also did not know the resort was kid-friendly and pet-friendly; it was overrun with kids during our stay. We were in the main hotel section and sound travels through the HVAC vents. With a lot of kids on site, somewhat annoying. I've heard better comments in the past than what we actually experienced. Change in owner/management maybe???

I was really looking forward to my stay at Carillon Miami, but it didn’t live up to expectations. I booked and paid for an ocean view room (I selected this online) and was given only a partial ocean view. I raised this at check-in, staff were made aware that I wanted to be moved, but no one followed up during my stay. Wellness offerings were limited — there were plenty of fitness classes but very few meditation, sound bowl, or breath work sessions, which I was looking forward to and expected from a wellness resort. The pool setup was only two pools, and only one served food and drinks. Unfortunately, that same pool was not adults-only, so it was very noisy and hard to relax. The pool was packed with families and young children, so it was not the environment I was anticipating. The spa was not how i remembered it to be. Despite posted rules, they weren’t enforced. Each day it was loud, with guests talking loudly amongst each other, on their phones. On the positive side, the rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. The restaurant served excellent food, and the staff at the restaurants, pool, and valet were genuinely kind and friendly. Overall, while there are some great aspects, I don’t know if I’d truly describe this as a wellness resort anymore.

Rooms clean, dining options were good, multiple pools and convenient to shopping
