Terrible hospitality and freezing rooms—avoid! Do not stay here if you expect basic hospitality. From the moment I arrived, there was zero welcome or orientation. No one escorted me to my room or explained anything. I was left completely on my own to figure out how to turn on the lights, locate the single hidden electrical outlet, and guess if the wine in the room was actually complimentary or not. The room itself was freezing. The windows are way too thin for the cold weather, there are no heaters, and trying to use the AC as a heater did absolutely nothing. Housekeeping is basically non-existent. They will only show up if you specifically demand it at reception, and even then, they just half-make the bed and take out the trash. Breakfast was just as bad. There is a very short time window, and the staff member managing it just sat there like a scarecrow. He wasn't welcoming, didn't speak English, and didn't even bother to offer coffee or eggs. The buffet was sad, literally the only vegetable available was tomatoes. For what this hotel charges, you expect a premium boutique experience. This was anything but. Save your money and book somewhere else.

One of the most charming hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time, and a historic one too! It has the oldest operating elevator in Santiago and the architecture is stunning. The service is top notch, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We stayed at VIK Chile for two nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The property is spectacular, with striking architecture, beautiful vineyards and breathtaking surroundings. It is a truly unique destination, and the staff were always welcoming, courteous and eager to help. However, considering the price and positioning of the hotel, we expected a more consistent luxury experience. Our room would benefit from better maintenance, particularly the bathtub, vanity and some of the finishes. The culinary experience was mixed. We appreciated the signature welcome drink served on arrival, but offering guests the choice between an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic version would be more fitting for a luxury hotel built around its world-class winery. Our first dinner was disappointing and lacked the attention to detail we expected, although other meals during our stay were much better and demonstrated the quality the hotel is capable of delivering. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and left with many wonderful memories. With greater consistency in room maintenance and the dining experience, VIK could truly live up to its exceptional setting and reputation.

Good location for visiting the sights of the central city. The room was very spacious, with a small kitchen and living space separate from the bedroom. The breakfast had a good range and was well stocked. The rooftop bar was a good spot for a refreshment after a day exploring the sights. The only negative was that our we could hear the noise from the bar in our 5th floor room.
