Shell Island Romantic Vacations

Never have to leave property!

Excellent hotel right on the beach. Great pool deck as well. Only issue is the charge for beach chairs and umbrella, this should be included.

The resort was beautiful, as was the beach & beach club we were able to use at the Watercolor resort. Staff were unbelievable, so helpful and friendly. Lots of little extras and was great that we were here on a Monday as between 4-9pm there was 50% off food & drink for member Monday. I have no negatives about Camp Creek Inn, I didn’t get to play golf but the courses looked unbelievable and would definitely look to use them if I came back. A wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary and was acknowledged by the staff who brought us out a complimentary dessert with happy anniversary written on the plate which was a nice touch. Would return without hesitation, a fantastic resort and everything and more than we had hoped for.

Our experience at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort was absolutely AWFUL. What was supposed to be the first day of our vacation turned into hours of frustration, confusion, and incredibly poor customer service. You could see that there was LACK of any training. We took a 4:00 a.m. flight specifically so we could arrive early have an extra day at the resort, and not waste our vacation traveling. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn’t ready and that we would receive a text as soon as it was available—supposedly within an hour. They didn’t ask to keep our luggage suggest a restaurant on property etc… We explored, had lunch, and returned 2.5 hours later, only to be told the internet was down and there was nothing they could do. When I asked what would happen if the internet never came back, the three employees at the front desk literally said they had no idea and told us to “just come back.”After another 1.5 hours with no text, we returned to a packed lobby. We were finally told they could check us in using a “paper method,” but the staff seemed completely lost. One supervisor told me that if I had a complaint, I needed to take it up with Expedia. I explained that this had nothing to do with how we booked (we didn’t use Expedia)—it was the resort’s HORRIBLE customer service. He seemed completely dumbfounded, excused himself, and never came back. After nearly an hour, we finally received our room—only to discover the door code didn’t work, they had given us the WRONG code.

Layout is confusing but a very nice hotel and staff
