(1,001 reviews) The hotel was walking distance from Beverly Drive and Rodeo, a nice plus. The staff were really nice people always willing to help. There was no food available for dinning or snacks. They had a small filtered water machine in the lobby to fill cups or bottles. They had a small bar in the lobby that served only hot coffee drinks, no alcohol or other. Ice or microwave was available if asked. The place has an elevator, very small, and slow, and dated. The location is off the beaten path and quiet. It’s not a flashy place but comfortable. The room could use some improvements. The shower was huge but had just one Little corner shelf to put your soap and such. Very small sink and top. The lighting was very low to dim, hard to see if shaving or makeup. The heat/AC pump worked well but it was placed right over the bed where if you fell asleep with it on you could cook or freeze to death. The television had no guide or any way to find channels easily. No welcome info, tv guide, instructions to follow, or ideas for anything to give you a sense of whats around you or things to do. All in all the place has some nice features but much is dated and could be improved. The price was expensive for what we got but location was great for walking and getting around. Also they do have secure parking across the street for $40 a day. (189 reviews) From the very efficient and effective check in, courteous customer service, and spotless room, our stay was great from the beginning. The place was spacious and modern. There was a big wrap around balcony (we had the two bedroom), and large kitchen. Even a washer and dryer. The only cons were the water pressure in the bathroom sink, and after a certain time, you cannot get more towels. House cleaning is "ask if you want", its not every day. For us we liked our privacy, so this worked for us. Another thing we loved was the quiet. The views were ok. Go ahead and book, you will not regret. (1,667 reviews) Hotel has a fabulous location, overlooking Central Park. Elevators were a problem. It seemed like only two were working and it took 30 minutes to get in an elevator that wasn’t completely full. Stairs weren’t an option with luggage. Rooms were clean, but for the price point I would’ve expected better lighting (so dark even when three lights were on), in room coffee machines, toiletries like q-tips, cotton balls, etc. Bathrooms did not have fans so mirrors fogged up immediately. In lobby coffee shop hours were very limited, but there were several local coffee shops nearby. Staff was very friendly, especially bell staff and concierge. Overall a good stay. Only small issue is there were a bunch of loud little kids shouting and cannon-balling into the pool. Super disruptive to the peaceful setting and zero was done to ask the kids to chill just a bit.
