Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. (211 reviews) Spent 2 amazing nights here for safari tours situated right outside the national park. The hotel staff and location is amazing. The cabanas are beautiful and air conditioned. We even had elephants in the lagoon outside our room one night. As additional the safaris are excellent, the park is dripping with wildlife, we booked directly from yalla national park but the hotel does similar tours do a full day as 1/2 is not enough. (8 reviews) Finding quality accommodation for a family in Arugam Bay is tricky. While this hotel is new and has good sized Family Rooms with balconies, service and other facilities are mediocre. Staff are unorganised, pool was not very clean, had to ask for wifi and tv to be fixed. On checkout, was told ‘card machine was not working’ - and we would have to pay in cash. This is a common ‘scam’ in Sri Lanka - the hotel wants to avoid the card fees from the bank, which I do understand. Overall an ‘ok’ stay but not great.
