Woody Island Mountain Vacations

Fabulous location in an historic building with view of the downtown harbour. No parking but staff provided a permit for on-road parking which worked well. Slight smell of cooking in main public areas. Air conditioning was a bit iffy, but then St John's is not a tropical destination so all was fine.

The room was cute and check in was very easy. But after a long day on the road we arrived after 9 pm and was looking forward to the wine that came with the room. Unfortunately the bottle left for us needed a wine opener. And there was no wine opener in the room. When I called up the girl on the phone said there was no one in the main house who could help and she was only in the sister house and could not help us. I would suggest staff always double check there is a wine opener in the room if the bottle they are leaving out for you requires one. Or maybe only leave out twist off ones. It was a frustrating experience that put a damper on our romantic evening.

Absolutely lovely. This is our second time staying and we will stay again in the future. Beautiful Inn, comfortable, and convenient location in downtown.

we stayed at this hotel twice . ( arriving and leaving st john's ) Nice rooms both times . The breakfast was good ,there were different items each day . There is a boston pizza restaurant next door . I was happy to stay here the second time . would stay again .
