Southwest Colorado Luxury Vacations

We normally stay at Marriott properties, but wanted to go off the beaten path and try something different for this trip. Hotel Telluride was quaint and charming. We arrived on the last night of a metal or electronic dance music fest and the patrons were noisy. Not the hotels fault but it did surface the fact that the walls are thin, and there is no insulation between floors. Also, the available underground parking seemed to be inadequate for a full house. The “Bistro” did not have a espresso machine, so morning vacation latte needed to be elsewhere. All that, the STAFF was EXCELLENT!! They were absolutely caring and compassionate. Not a lot they could do given all the metalheads that had descended on the property, but gave it the best they could. Free rides to local attractions from the hotel shuttle and the free in-town gondola is only about 6 blocks or so. We would stay again, if we could get a top floor and it’s not a festival weekend where it’s a crowd that’s going to stumble in at 11:30 at night and have after-party until 2:00am!

We loved our stay at the Inn at Lost Creek. So convenient to the gondola, valet parking was $25, a very nice breakfast included. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Be sure and reserve a rooftop hot tub.
