One of the highlights was the location, which was excellent and very convenient for our needs. However, the valet service was disappointing. After requesting our vehicle through the app in advance from our room, we waited approximately 25 minutes after arriving downstairs, which felt excessive for a hotel of this caliber. The bedroom experience was also affected by noticeable noise from the elevator, which could be heard throughout the day and night and impacted our comfort. In addition, the room lighting was limited, and the TV remote was not functioning properly. At checkout, the attendant apologized for the delay and offered to waive the valet parking fee. However, valet was already complimentary during our stay, so the gesture did not meaningfully resolve the issue. (1,000 reviews) Street noise was loud all times of the night due to older windows. Lots of noise from the floor above. Toilet was wobbly. Vending machine didn’t work and staff would not reimburse. Heavy perfume smell in lobby, not ideal for those with a sensitivity to scents. Dried blood stain in bedding (washed but none the less), only saw it on my last night and was grossed out. Staff was nice enough but the experience overall was less than expected. Owners prioritized aesthetic over practicality and safety - rooms have steps as you walked in that go down, at night this is difficult as you navigate from the bathroom to the bed, some form of lighting or glowing markers would be helpful. The shower is directly visible from the bedroom due to a glass pane, partial privacy is only possible due to curtains that are not double paneled or blacked out. Though the location is ideal to the Bell Center, public transportation, and a good nightlife, I'm not sure I would stay again. The highlight was the smoothie bar next door, called Tropé.
