Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and they really went out of their way to make our stay special. The food was SO delicious and every morning for breakfast they went out of their way to bring me gluten free options, even some that weren’t on the menu. The property was quiet, well maintained, and in a beautiful location with amazing views of the volcano. On our anniversary they decorated our room special and left us some sweet treats. We truly loved it here and can’t wait to return!

Although the room itself was great, unfortunately that was not enough to make the overall stay enjoyable. Some of the staff members were fine, but many interactions felt very matter-of-fact rather than warm or welcoming. This was not due to a language barrier, as we also speak Spanish; it simply felt like there was a lack of genuine hospitality at times. The biggest disappointment was the food. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful, but the food itself was honestly terrible. We spent approximately $160 on dinner and barely touched our meals. Looking back, I wish we had chosen to eat somewhere else rather than trying the hotel restaurant that night. The property itself also feels somewhat rundown in certain areas. The pools and outdoor spaces, in particular, could really benefit from renovations and updates in the near future. There were also some frustrating issues with billing. We were not clearly informed about the gratuity charges when we checked in, and at the end of our stay I received two different bills by email with different totals. Unfortunately, I was charged the higher amount, which only added to the frustration. There were definitely some positives, especially the room and the overall ambience, but the combination of the food quality, customer service, property condition, and billing issues outweighed them for us. We would absolutely return to the area, but unfortunately, we would choose a different hotel for our next stay.

This resort was absolutely amazing. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The room was beyond what I expected and it was cleaned 2x a day. I really enjoyed all the food. The best was the staff. I traveled solo and was beyond impressed with how attentive they were and how much they wanted me to have a great time. Not only were they extremely service oriented, they were genuinely kind. I will absolutely be back!
