(58 reviews) The place is a beutiful old wooden house converted in a small hotel. It's completely automated, so there was no staff working in the lobby of the hotel, which was very creepy. The house was remodeled, but still the air was stuffy and smelled very old. I wanted to spend a few nights in beautiful Santa Barbara, and not to stay in a museum. In addition, there were no A/C controls in the room so I had to ask staff over text messages for help multiple times. It's a beautiful house to see, but not remodeled sufficiently to be a hotel I want to stay in. We did enjoy our stay here however i need to point a couple of concerns out… The couch really needs to be steam cleaned or replaced. It was stained and dirty, we placed a sheet on cushions in order to sit on it. Floors did not look dirty but when i wiped spilled water from it the napkin turned black. I clorox wiped the floor just to feel comfortable. I think housekeeping needs to be more detailed when cleaning.
