Cheese room/menu and restaurant menu were really good too. Located in a ver quiet area if you feel like relaxing after a day skiing. There was no swimming pool during the winter. Great breakfast (cooked and pastry options), super close to ski hire and slopes (few mins walk), sauna and steam were really nice and those who had massages said they were great. Nice afternoon tea/cakes at an extra cost (\~12 euros pp). Views from the rooms and the dining area were unbelievable. Had everything you could want I think. I thought the dinner was nice. Some others had more mixed reviews, but I think was good on the whole. We stayed in the hotel for our 3 night stay. Any more nights and we may have gone into town for a change of scene. The best was the staff. Super friendly, helpful, organised and just great to be around. They really made the trip for us. They sorted ski passes and taxis to/from the airport with no fuss at all. The hotel is really close to ski schools and nursery slopes, and some of the rooms were well set up for older kids (say 8 years plus). We were an adult only group, but I'm not sure how good the hotel itself would be for young kids in terms of things to do in the hotel. There were a couple of babies around when we were there, so definitely fine for them to be there. Thanks again to all the staff. We will definitely be back - brilliant stay! We found the hotel to be grubby (there were old ski clothes under the bed and in the drawers when we arrived). The room was an awkward shape and very noisy being at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was disappointing and on most mornings we were simply ignored. Parking was expensive, ski hire was extortionate (we went elsewhere). We were also shocked to be charged for the bowling/games. Overall, just dull, miserable decor and a hotel trying to be something it isn't. The balcony overlooking the mountains was an added touch, where we could sit and enjoy a coffe or wine and watch the skiers go by. Really nice to have inclusive access to a swimming pool and jacuzzi at the end of a day on the slopes. Spa treatments were very good and staff very experienced and freindly. Only downside was no chicken on the menu for a main all week. I dont really like red meat like venison and do not like fish. Yes im a fussy eater, but could only eat a starter of caesar salad in the hotel. This is the only reason for the lower rating as I really enjoyed everything else. The spa was great. Also really nice heated ski lockers. In close proximity to the slopes and lots of restaurants/bars around.
