Wish we could have stayed longer! A little bit of paradise in the very busy Playa Del Carmen. The staff are excellent. Would absolutely stay again!

This is our second time at Viva Azteca. Both visits have been great overall. Special mention for the hotel photographer Bernardo and Ulisses at the water sports. Bernardo took amazing photos of us in the pool, the beach, and on the catamaran. Ulisses was a fantastic guide on our catamaran. He took great care of us, even out in 10m of water in the ocean. We took our young child and felt completely safe with him as our guide. The restaurants and Xel Ha were amazing. Our children loved Xel Ha. The Nopal buffet staff were super friendly. The food was great with a large selection and theme nights. A good thing about the hotel is they offer transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. You need to confirm your return trip. If you attempt to confirm at reception, they send you to the excursion desk. We were received by Francisco after arriving at the hotel to confirm our return. He was great and thoroughly explained how to return and the various excursions offered by the hotel. Unfortunately, when we tried to confirm our return, the night before leaving, we were received by Daniela at the same desk. It was a 180 from our experience with Francisco. She did not seem well-trained for that job. We recommend she receive more training for that position. She seemed confused when we spoke about transportation. She didn't know where to find our reservation, so we recommend that you go with Francisco when he is at the desk. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

Horrible lugar las habitaciones de lo más sucio cucarachas insectos y la playa está llena de zargaso con un olor horroroso que entra alas habitaciones fue como una pesadilla pasar una noche allí el inodoro se tapó al primer uso tuvimos que salir de ese lugar ala mañana siguiente nada es igual a las fotos que están en el anuncio de ese horrible lugar
