(431 reviews) We arrived from our flight from London and were greeted very pleasantly by the staff. The room was clean and well prepared, and the instructions for assembling the sofa bed were clear and easy to follow. A small kitchenette was available, which was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices for both adults and children. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We’re very much looking forward to staying here again on 30th December. Some of the light bulbs were not working in the room. (1,000 reviews) The hotel itself was great - large, spacious rooms, including a full soaking tub and huge shower, very clean and comfortable room. We had a small balcony to enjoy the views. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only a 5 minute walk to the Bastille where we enjoyed riding the cable cars up the mountain for an amazing view. However, the immediate area outside the hotel and throughout the city, we did not feel safe - even in the daytime. Do you research on crime and the sections to avoid. We made the mistake of walking from the train station to the hotel, but took an uber on the way back because we did not want to venture out, It's a shame because this city has so much potential. Even in the local coffee shop, there are signs on the table inside to be aware of pickpockets. The balcony overlooking the mountains was an added touch, where we could sit and enjoy a coffe or wine and watch the skiers go by. Really nice to have inclusive access to a swimming pool and jacuzzi at the end of a day on the slopes. Spa treatments were very good and staff very experienced and freindly. Only downside was no chicken on the menu for a main all week. I dont really like red meat like venison and do not like fish. We could not use the facilities with the swimming costumes/shorts we had, we were advised to buy the suitable items at the pool.
