Helpful pleasant staff, nice leisure area, lovely grounds & large room. Deducted a point because room very cold as heating system not adequate & restaurant closed fir refurb.

The room was large with comfortable king size bed. Excellent power bower. Good amenities of bucuuts tea and coffee and hot chocolate and two little bars of high quality chocolate.

A really good welcome and a free car park (once reg entered onto system at Reception). The double room was large and clean. As this is a heritage building, there is an impressively sloping - and creaking/squeaking - floor. Luckily, I couldn’t hear much from the function room below, and nothing from the bar. But a lot of noise from other room’s plumbing and doors slamming can be heard in the room. Plus there is light from under the main room door so it may not be fire-safe. I’d recommend bringing ear plugs. There’s an extensive ‘pub grub’ menu available on-site, and plenty of eateries nearby including a chippy opposite. Sainsbury’s is under 5 mins walk too.
