Algarve Fishing Vacations

Location was excellent - easy reach of beach and restaurants and we had a wonderful holiday. However, the Nau Swimming Pool was over-run with children and families so we did not use it unfortunately. Further negatives were that there was a dirty nappy left on the balcony from previous occupants and we had to continually go and ask at reception for towels (not enough were supplied and were not replaced until we asked) and also for toilet roll (not enough was supplied and it was not replaced without asking). Another annoying issue was again regarding the supply of the shower gel and body lotion - we had to ask at reception for this to be replenished when it ran out but this should have been done automatically without asking during the cleaning/ normal maintenance. Also, the patio doors on the lower floor where the bedrooms were did not lock so we ended up having the shutters closed for the whole stay which was not ideal.

Lovely hotel, all staff were really nice and helpful. The outdoor pool is a good size and well maintained . Room was a decent size too. The only small frustration was the hand soap was shower gel and there’s no milk in the room, but you can get a small jar od milk from the bar. Location is a flat short walk (approx 15-20mins) to bars and restaurants in the village. There’s a good selection on offer for breakfast (we only had B&B) and the staff did excellent job of keeping it all replenished. The hotel offers a free boat transfer service to the beach, which leaves from a location about 5 walk from the hotel. You do get your feet wet getting on and off the boat and sometimes it’s up to knee height, so best to wear shoes that can get wet or be removed easily. Various free activities on offer for health and wellbeing. Special mention to the Activities Team who were all fantastic, enthusiastic and made the holiday more enjoyable. Took part in the water zumba a couple of times, but watching it was just as fun. Would also recommend the paddle surf and no experience is needed! Evening entertainment was varied and music went off at 23:00hrs so didn’t disturb us and we were right on top of it. The main town of Tavira is about 6km away. There is a bus or train but these options are a good 30min walk, so a taxi is easiest option, but it’s well worth the visit. What we really liked was there were lots of older Portuguese guests, which made a nice change to stays we’ve had

A truly exquisite property. Exceptionally maintained. And the staff is genuinely kind and helpful. True luxury and truly worth the cost! What a treat to stay there.
