Egmont Key State Park Cheap Vacations

Hotel is very clean and lot of space for a room. We really like our room. The hotel uses valet parking only, which I prefer selfpark.

My family and I had a great time at the Ocean Club Treasure Island Hotel. The room looked brand new, was extremely clean and spacious, and had an amazing view. Great for families. The housekeeping staff and blonde lady bartender at the poolside bar were very kind to us and always ready to help. The staff is general was very helpful. There's a garage and outside parking. Although the garage parking seems limited, you will most likely find a spot at whatever time. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and there's also grocery stores like Publix, and pharmacies like Walgreens just a few minutes away. The hotel is dog friendly, however, the downside is that the beach does not allow them, even if they are service animals, so make sure to schedule with your families at what time each will be going to the beach, so that someone can stay in the room with the dog. The amenities in general were very good. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and will most certainly be visiting again. We highly recommend!

The Avalon was a great spot for our family! It was clean and had kitchen amenities that were helpful- coffee maker, dishwasher, stove top pans, etc. The staff was always hospitable and kind. We loved having beach chairs and an umbrella to use while at the beach. Being right on the beach made it easy to go back and forth from the beach and the view was beautiful! Having a washer/dryer in our room was a bonus since everyday we had wet clothing. Since it was on the main road, it was a short walk to restaurants, The Pier, and shopping. We loved our stay and look forward to going back again!

The resort was beautiful. However, you already pay a great amount for the hotel, then you have an additional resort fee that they charge you once you check out that is about $40 a day plus valet parking for an additional $40 a day. You get 2 chairs with umbrellas under the resort fee which makes it worthwhile, but if they are full and there is a tent (cabana) over the chairs, it’s an additional $10. Then when you pay for it, they ask if you want to tip them, recommending $10-20 additional tip. The pool was overly crowded, so you couldn’t really get in unless you’re standing in one spot getting splashed by kids and hearing them screaming. The beach access was very nice and was not too crowded. The room was clean and housekeeping came in each day and did an amazing job.

Everything was fine,

My wife and I have never been to Anna Maria Island and Holmes beach before so we chose the Cedar Cove Resort. It was a small resort with an older touch such as the buildings and such. It kinda took us back a bit at first but we settled in just fine. The Flamingo suite we stayed in was nice but very small and had some older decor. The suite did come with all the amenities fridge, electric stove, sink coffee maker which by the way was a Nespresso machine which was cool but not everyone likes espresso style coffee. The suite had a pull out bed couch , table, and wooden chairs all in the living room. Then the king bed was in the next room with the bathroom. Only complaints about this is we felt there should be a door separating the bedroom from the living room for quiet and privacy. Bathroom had a barn door from the bedroom. Bed was awesome!!! Very comfortable. Again , not to complain but the room reminded me of a studio apartment then a resort suite. Room was clean upon arrival but found some dirty dishes in the cabinets which we ended up having to clean. So just bit disappointed in the suite we chose. The beach area was breathtaking!! No complaints there. Staff was great !! So overall Anna Maria Island doesn’t fit our life style as we didn’t know how bad traffic is, the lack of good restaurants besides the Daquiri Deck and the Hurricane Hanks were awesome!!! Holy cow ice cream was fabulous as well. Too busy of an area for us . Looking for more low keyed atmosphere.
