Lovely friendly clean hotel

Great location, good breakfast, very clean and nice and quiet. Only critique was that the refrigerator in my room did not work but otherwise I really liked this place.

Lets start with the location. It is in a low quality, unsafe part of city. It is adjacent to the main train station. Construction is ongoing with noises. Not recommended specially for the falimies. I booked a junior suite via expedia and got the room number 353. It's a room with a looong hall to get to the living area and small exterior window facing the roof of train station. When we checked in, i noticed the bidet is not working. The worse part is that when you sit on toilet, the fan of bidet start working and bring the smell of sewer same as a djve bar toilette out continously. I called several time to front desk but nobody picked up. We wanted to go out so I stopped by front desk and the reception told me that will send maintenance to check it out. Around 5 hours later when we came back, it was still not working. I went to reception and talked to the same lady. She said that they are busy! and will check with maintenance again. Somebody came some minutes later and played with remote for a couple of minutes and called somebody. The person who later claimed to be manager told me that it is not going to work and they need to call manufacturer. I asked him to change our room but he said that they dont have any available. He was arguing and implemented that you booked a junior suite and you got one so if something is not working it is not a big deal. That is where he was wrong. When you book in a 5 star hotel means you are looking for more amenities and a highest standard.

Quaint German Hotel. Great restaurant. We had a fantastic dinner the night of check-in. Unfortunately, we did not stay as we encountered what looked like cockroaches in our room and when we approached the front desk were told "they are not cockroaches" "they are wood bugs from the garden". In this day and age with the internet giving identification capabilities instantly I read "cockroach" and was on the way out. The girl at the front desk then gave me a room in the front of the Hotel w/o a "Garden Room" window. This room had been smoked in and with my asthmatic condition I could not stay especially when I found the same bugs under my nightstand. Come to find out (when I got back stateside) these are Ectobius vittiventris. the Amber Wood Cockroach, Amber Forest Cockroach, or Garden Cockroach. Which are not a storage pest, and completely harmless to humans as they feed only on decomposing plant. Without window screens and no A/C they will be there. I went back the next morning (after finding a great clean bugless hotel at midnight a short drive away) asking for a refund and was summarily dismissed and denied. I did not stay in the Hotel nor eat the "great breakfast" I paid for. Had the management (very combatant) not been insistent the bugs were not cockroaches; and better informed me, I would have stayed and not lost close to a thousand dollars!

Hotel Concorde is a well maintained property Within walking distance of Marienplatz, Hofbräuhaus and many other places of interest. Very convenient to trains, trams and bus stops. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold tasty food items and drinks. Definitely recommend this hotel

We had a large and very comfortable room in this hotel, which is located very near the centre of the city. Excellent air-con and a wonderful bathroom with a very unusual sink - it was made of a translucent material and lit up from beneath. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and that was wonderful too. We would definitely stay there again.
