I don't even know where to start. This place was PERFECTION! The staff in the entire hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful, I feel that they are all our friends now. The food at the restaurant is amazing, people come visit from outside the hotel just to dine at the restaurant. The pools are sooo nice, and that is a highlight for me because my husband hates getting into pools, I literally had never seen him enjoy a pool the was he did in this hotel. We didn't have to share it with other guests when we went in and it just feels very peaceful and the views are breathtaking. The day we checked out I literally thought he would not get out of the pool so we could leave. The servers at the restaurant and pool bar were very nice and we enjoyed having conversations with them, Abraham, Anthony and Ricardo. The bell guys, the tour guide, our concierge, it just feels like they're all a family. The room was super comfortable and spacious, we had a view even from the shower with a giant window, plus a balcony and a huge rooftop for ourselves. They offer a complimentary tour of the property that is about 6 acres of preserved forest where you can see monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, among many other birds and species.

Considering the price of this hotel, it did not live up to my expectations. First off, when we arrived to our hotel room, the window was leaking water due to the rain. They gave us towels to soak up the puddles. Secondly, after my first night, I found a bunch of ants on my bed. I informed reception about this and they said they would change the sheets. After changing them, I noticed that the ants were still there and called them again. They arrived with ant repellent, spraying the entire bed frame with it, leaving an unpleasant smell. They told me that the problem was solved. However, I was not about to sleep on this bed that now smelled like insect repellent and therefore requested a change of rooms. Upon arriving into my new room, there was a big blood stain in the middle of the bed. Overall this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than this, I stayed at this hotel because my brothers wedding was hosted here. The wedding rooms were nice, as well as the pool- just not the rooms.
