(1,005 reviews) Normally we don't do reviews but we felt for the Fiji Hideaway, it was necessary. First, the staff were amazing, we loved them all! And our beachfront bure was lovely, but definitely needed some maintenance on all the faucets in the bathroom but overall fine. However, the pool was appalling, dark and murky, and their filter system was obviously not working. They were adding chlorine type products every night but it didn't make a difference which was worrisome as there were numerous young children using the pool daily. The shower didn't work by the pool and neither did most of the sun umbrellas. In the public areas, the canvas overhanging the Indian restaurant area was filthy and in the main bathrooms by reception, the light fixtures were full of dead bugs. All of these issues could be fixed with a good cleaning. Breakfast was included and quite good but there was no variation, we were there for a week and there was always only scrambled eggs and strawberry yoghurt ever single day. Having said this, the grounds were lovely and well maintained. And they have cats! If it weren't for the great staff and the cats, they would have gotten a 2.5 rating.
