I booked this hotel for the pool and was happy I could swim laps. The pool measures 15 by 25 meters. There’s a dedicated lap lane down the 15-meter side. The pool is a cozy 31 C. Bring your swim cap - otherwise you have to buy one. The hot tub is also nice. I didn’t try the sauna or steam room. This is actually the fitness club next door which hotel guests get access to. The weight room is nothing fancy but I was happy to have access to free weights. The hotel is between the city and the airport, and buses on the corner service both. There’s also a grocery store next door but no mini fridge. Room was clean and quiet.

The Westbury is a stunningly beautiful and elegant hotel. The staff are exceptional - warm and inviting as well as patient! The rooms were well appointed with extremely comfortable beds and thick curtains. The restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner and the bar and lounge area were terrific as well. Centrally located to all of the best sights. Highly recommend this hotel.

I really nice hotel in central Dublin, and I can be rather picky in my reviews of hotels. Good location, central but still a bit quiet. The Dublin Airport express bus has a stop right outside the hotel. The walk in to the central parts of Dublin is about 10 minutes, a nice walk along the River Liffey. The room was clean and modern. The bed was excellent, really nice duvets and pillows. There were blackout curtains. There was a bit of a foul smell in my room, not sure where it came from, but that is the only negative feedback I can give. It was fairly quiet, no real noise disturbance, although my room was at the back of the hotel so cannot say if it is different for rooms at the front of the hotel. There is a brilliant gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna area in the basement, all included in the price. Breakfast was also good and staff were friendly and helpful. I can certainly recommend this hotel.

The location is pretty good, a block from St Stephens Green. The hotel is good but I think that the 5 star rating doesn’t do it any favors because it is not comparable to other 5 star properties in the city. It is a good hotel and that is it, nothing special about it. The breakfast is okay but the service is pretty bad. Lots of waiters trying to hard not to make eye contact so they cam avoid taking your order. Stuff we ordered just never arrived on a couple of occasions. The bar is very nice with good service. We didnt try restaurant for lunch or dinnee because there are many options available close by.

All aspects are excellent, mainly the staff friendly attitude.

I dont usually write reviews, but I think it is important for others to be aware of potential shortcomings of this property to make an informed decision about future stays. This hotel was fine if you are looking for a cheap, no-frills hotel(/motel) experience, but it falls woefully short given the price and continued use of the descriptor "luxury." At its heyday, I am sure this was a stunning property. However, it is clear that not a THING has been updated or improved in at least 25 years, including the awful mattresses and flat pillows, inoperable room refrigerators (that have been left in the rooms with notes inside that say something like, "this is not a refrigerator"), lack of outlets in the bathroom, moldy drywall and peeling caulk in the bathrooms, heavy and cumbersome corridor doors, and antiquated decor and furnishings. Further, my initial experience checking in was bizarre, as I was made to sign an agreement of sorts that, among other things, prohibited the "consumption of any 'take away' food on the premises." When I asked for clarification about this clause, the receptionist insisted that it referred to food deliveries to the hotel (and in the same breath, offered to make dinner reservations for us that night in the in-house restaurant). However interpreted, trying to strong arm guests into exclusively eating at the on-site restaurant is wild and yet completely in line with the gaslight-y nature of how this hotel has been advertised. Exercise caution when booking!

The room was very comfortable. I loved the extra flat pillow! It was very clean and perfect for an early flight. Loved the shuttle to the airport. We had lovely food at the bar in the evening. Good cooking. The only suggestion I would make is that the upholstery and carpets should be cleaned in the bar. Some of them have unsightly stains. Otherwise, a great and restful place to stay before catching a flight.

Hotel staff were welcoming on arrival, property was clean and well taken care off, room had everything we needed. Executive suite coffee machine was not working correctly so choices were limited, told staff but wasn’t resolved in our one night stay so could use. Having to pay for parking at their own car park I thought unusual. Breakfast choice was excellent
