Isle of Skye Adults Only Vacations

The hotel itself needs some updating, our room had chipped paint and a faint smell of wet dog, the cleaners definitely did their best it's probably the carpets that need cleaning. The spa facilities were basic, the pool is a leisure centre pool, and it wasn't a relaxing experience we expected sadly, for example you take your shoes off and leave in a pile with everyone elses by the reception area like soft play, the lockers dont lock! The hotels in a good location though and staff are helpful and friendly but I wouldn't stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pine Lodge and absolutely loved our time there. The property is simply beautiful, with an incredible setting and a great deal of thought and care evident throughout. Our room was very nice, comfortable and cosy, although it was a little on the smaller side for a family travelling with luggage. I am not sure there is much that can be done about this given the character of the property. The staff were equally impressive — warm, attentive and genuinely lovely. From a seamless check-in to arranging restaurant bookings, everything was handled effortlessly. Even our additional requests, including a fan for the room and a change of bedding, were taken care of promptly and with a smile. It is rare to find a place where the setting, property and service come together so well. An amazing place, beautifully maintained and run by an equally amazing team. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was huge and very clean and comfortable with luxurious bathroom. Parking - despite single yellow lines you can park on the road at any time of the day. We managed to get one of the 2 spots on the driveway. Hotel is within walking distance of train station, cafes and shops.

Had an amazing overnight stay at Mar Hall for my wife’s 50th birthday. All staff couldn’t be nicer and the place was stunning.

Rocpool Reserve is a beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. We stayed in one of the suites with a private hot tub and sauna, and the room itself was spacious with a very nice bathroom. We were especially looking forward to enjoying the hot tub and sauna. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The front desk staff was warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast experience was the best of the four hotels we stayed at during our two-week vacation in Scotland. The chef happily prepared anything we wanted, and the quality was excellent. We were traveling with a picky 16-year-old, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate her preferences, making breakfast one of the highlights of our stay. The location is another major plus. It’s an easy walk to Inverness Castle and the city center, there are plenty of food delivery options nearby, and the parking was convenient with easy access in and out. The biggest drawback was that the hotel does not have air conditioning. We visited during an exceptional heat wave, and the small fan provided was not enough to cool the room. It made sleeping nearly impossible, and unfortunately the suite was so warm that we couldn’t enjoy the private hot tub or sauna—the very amenities we had booked the room for. I have no doubt this suite would be incredible during the fall or winter when the temperatures are cooler. Overall, Rocpool Reserve offers exceptional service, an outstanding breakfast, beautiful suites.

Staff were friendly and gave us a good larger than expected room on arrival which was good. The hotwl is positioned in a very peaceful area. We had a room on the ground floor at the back so there was no road noise but lots of noise late at night when other guests were arriving to their rooms. Walls/floors are thin! The water coming out of the taps and toilet was yellow..not sure why. Bottles of yellow tap water were being served to customers. The menu was not to our taste far too much spicy food. I had to send the corn on the cob back as it was covered in spice. We were then brought a new plain one and were not charged which was good. Can't comment on the cooked breakfast as we only had fruit/continental options.
