(531 reviews) Will be keeping this as constructive as possible. At best the property is 4 star. The room I booked was one bedroom pool view and I was put in a two bedroom ground floor room which overlooked the fence of the pool, NOT the pool. Cleanliness needs to be seriously looked into. The room was extremely dusty and I started sneezing within 10 minutes of entering the room. It was quiet evident that the room had not been deep cleaned for a long time. The plant in the kitchen had a thick layer of dust all over, some of the sofa cushions smelt like feet, bed side tables and kitchen island was sticky, washing machine smelt like mould. Worst of all, one of the toilets was not cleaned at all and had marks all around the edges and the bowl and that particular bathroom smelt bad throughout. There were cockroaches in the laundry, geckos in the living room and ants in the bed. These ants were very tiny and kept crawling around our heads and face through the night. “This is common in Far North Queensland” is not an excuse and regular pest control should be the norm. Main apartment door wouldn’t close on its own force, bathroom and kitchen lights flicker and make a static noise, and water pressure in the shower is too low. Bedroom was missing a TV remote and bad WiFi. Overall it was disappointing to have spent over $1500 for a Birthday getaway and receive an average product. The location is beautiful, good restaurants around and away from chaos. Staff were amazing, Gabby was a highlight.
